Alyssa and Jesse
Colourful and wild florals at Bleeks and Bergamot
This wedding was a special one for me because it was for a friend of mine and I actually got to be a guest!
Alyssa and Jesse had to reschedule their wedding once from May to July 2021 because of Covid and we were so excited that she was able to go ahead with her wedding on the new date as some restrictions were changed just before. Alyssa knew what she wanted for the most part but trusted me to help execute her vision. When we moved the wedding it meant peonies were probably going to be out of season, but we lucked out and we were able to snag some of the last peonies of the season for her bouquet.
The venue was a newer one and it was exciting to be able to check it out and design there. Bleeks and Bergamot is a must to check out. We created a colourful, wildflower bouquet. A wonderful mixture of colour and flowers like roses, ranunculus, dahlias, stock, peonies, tweedia, lisianthus, sword fern, ruscus and salal. The ceremony backdrop was a natural arching look that I created so it could be moved and used as a backdrop at the sweetheart table during the reception. We also created some colourful centerpieces to add a pop of colour to her table scape on harvest tables which also had a beautiful mixture of coloured glassware, glass chargers, soft blue napkins, brass candle sticks with soft blue tapers and votives. All running on top of her grey cheesecloth runners. Such a stunning combination.
