Pastels and greenery at Stonefields Estate

About the Wedding

When Christie and I first talked, her vision was quite different from what we ended up with in the end. After a trip, she fell in love with a different colour palette and flower and moved away from using the sunflowers she planned. We changed to a more subtle flower mix with small chrysanthemums that gave a nod to her original sunflower idea. I am glad we did. The end result was amazing. It’s one of my favourites from 2022!

The bouquets were a mix of white, pink, peach, yellow and blue using dahlias, roses, spray roses, tweedia, ranunculus, matricaria, chrysanthemums, olive greenery, Italian ruscus and silver dollar eucalyptus.

We couldn’t forget about her cute little dog! He needed some flowers too. So, we created a dog collar of greenery and flowers similar to what we used in the bouquets to make him even cuter!

If you have ever been to Stonefields Estate you know how gorgeous the whole venue is, and especially the chapel. Christie decided they would like a statement piece on the mantle that went from the ground on one side and up and across most of the top of the mantle.

It was the perfect accent for the space and definitely made a statement! We used a mixture of greenery like Italian ruscus, salal, leather fern and eucalyptus for the base. We then mixed in accents of flowers in her wedding colours – blue delphinium, peach carnations, roses, chrysanthemums and babies breath.

For the reception space, each table had a selection of small vases and a lantern the bride chose that we filled them with flowers and greenery in the same theme. We also added flowers and greenery across the top of a metal arch the bride’s father made that framed their custom neon sign.

It was an amazing day for such a lovely couple!
