J&J Wedding at Home
Textural Backyard wedding
About the Wedding
I have had the privilege of designing the flowers for all four women in this family. Designing for this last wedding was bittersweet.
J & J’s wedding was celebrated at the bride’s parent’s home.
Her bouquet was beautifully textured in white and green featuring roses, veronica, eryngium (thistle), astilbe, waxflower, hypericum berry and foliage (different types of eucalyptus and Italian ruscus).
The bridesmaids wore green and carried smaller more simplified versions of the bride’s bouquet.
The groom and groomsmen’s boutonnieres were made with some of the more textural accent flowers used in the bouquets including astilbe, hypericum berry, waxflower, eryngium, seeded eucalyptus berries and greenery. They were bound in twine.
For the ceremony, a large arrangement on the arch served as a backdrop for the Bride and Groom. The arrangement consisted of a wide variety of different greenery and accent flowers, including hypericum berry, eryngium and waxflower, for more visual interest.
The tented reception area featured long harvest tables with beautiful linen runners. Greenery was placed down the middle of the tables between the candles, water glasses and tables numbers.
These were a mixture of lush, seeded eucalyptus and Italian ruscus. The same greenery was added to the head table with a touch of white waxflower.
It was a gorgeous day for a beautiful couple!
